    This video was not planned lol I just got ended up getting sick and I want to keep this channel as real as possible. So here is a day with me doing self care and looking after myself while i'm unwell. I cut out most of the coughing and nose blowing – didn't want to pass the cold through the web. Hope you guys enjoy the recipes and hanging with me. Fortunately, since going vegan my immune system has been better than ever and I don't really get colds, but this time the cold won lol! xxx

    SiStar, you are a fabulous human. Your spirit and energy are contagious..lol O.O. Now about that lil cold…. Any type of anti-inflammatory foods or teas, time to indulge. Ex: cucumber salad, noooo to MAT toes!!! I know you love em but they can take a 3 day break. Add oregano or parsley to your hot teas. Noooo regular pastas… Any pH balancing herbs around, like some burdock in your tea. As you know, when fighting a cold, you're really helping your body do what it does every day which is fight the things that cause inflammation. A cold is your body's way of saying "Hey I need a lil help to keep you standing or you'll get knocked down with flu!" Avoid some of those food items for a few days, also load up on raw broccoli and raw red onions. Breaking a sweat (vigorous exercise) would really help too but that's probably the last thing you feel like doing today…. Lastly, if your home is nice n toasty warm..because you're anemic it probably is, then def time to crack a window and or turn a fan on low. You gon be aiight sis. Feel better soon! 🙂

    Sis I cook soup any time I'm sick. I live on my own so it's necessary. And OMG my period started as soon as I got sick as well. Been resting so much. Anyways, love your recipe and think I'm gonna try your paste recipe this weekend. Feel better, beautiful!

    I used to get colds 2-3 times a year. Then I went carnivore and been cold-frer for 8 months. It's likely that the reason you get sick is because you are malnourished.
