  • A veggie burger recipe for any vegetarian or vegan looking to have a little fun and a change from than the simpler ways of getting those vegetables in. In this video you will see how to make some veggie burgers with lentils and barley and it can be enjoyed by vegans as well. There will be 5 videos in total to give you some ideas on what you can mix up and none of which contain any eggs or dairy, so they are 100% vegan. There will be some that are gluten free too, though if you would like more gluten free recipes just let me know 🙂

    Ingredients:
    Ingredients:
    400g cooked green lentil
    1/2 red onion chopped
    salt to taste
    1/4 teaspoon turmeric
    1/4 black pepper
    70g cooked barley
    2 tablespoons chopped coriander
    rice flour to coat patties

    Methods
    1) fry onion on medium heat with salt, turmeric, and pepper until soft

    2) add half of the lentil, stir and partially mash

    3) in a bowl mix barley, mashed lentils, full lentils, and parsley

    4) shape into patties, coat with rice flour fry and medium heat for around 3 to 5 minutes on each side
