How to make vegan eggnog, yup: No eggs, so it’s “Vegnog”. Recipe below.

But first, please subscribe 🙂 http://www.youtube.com/stillcurrentstudios.

The full recipe and some pics are on my Vegan Edgy Veg Blog, so you can print it out if you like: http://www.theedgyveg.com/2012/12/13/vegan-egg-nog-or-holiday-nog/

This eggnog tastes great, we used Blue Diamond Almond Breeze here, but you can always substitute with your own home made nut mylk…. Well maybe without the 150 proof rum I inadvertently dumped in. The Nutritional yeast is key and it gives it a nice nutty flavor. I really recommend blending it well because some of the ingredients are coarse.

In this episode I put a vegan twist on a classic holiday drink. Yes eggnog and rum goes vegan, and that means no egg eggnog.

    Ivy Lory says:

(2/2) The term 'vegan' was coined by Donald Watson in 1944, and unlike the word 'vegetarian', the word Vegan implies moral concern for animals, and this concern extends to ALL areas of life, not just diet.
Veganism is a WAY OF LIFE, if you follow a vegan diet, but don't give a shit about animals, you are NOT vegan. Health benefits, protecting the environnement, etc are just extras. Don't you dare 'judge' others when you don't know anything about it. Now have a nice day! (damn!) XD

    Ivy Lory says:

(1/2) Animal Rights is the FIRST reason to become Vegan. Here is the definition of 'Vegan': ''Veganism is a way of living, wich excludes all forms of exploitation, and/or cruelty to the animal kingdom, and includes a reverence for life. It applies to the practice of living on the products of the plant kingdom to the exclusion of flesh, fish, fowl, eggs, honey, animal milk and it's derivatives, and encourages the use of alternatives for all commodities derived wholly or in part from animals.''

I knew it 😉 I was being playful just for the record. I wasn't being an ass… I hope… ahh shit, I'm an ass huh

    Edgy Veg says:

Totally. I have baby chickens wandering around my kitchen right now, for the sole purpose of cuteness. Gotta go, one's growing older gotta give him away. 🙂 lol.

    We Walk The Sky says:

I'm going to guess you are (into) vegan(ism) because you like cute fuzzy animals to much to eat them and not so much for the health benefits? Yep… I'm judging you

    Key says:

    Omg i LOVE your vids!

    ThatLovableWeirdo says:

Sounds simple enough! Thanks for the tip! Happy New Year! 😀

    Candice Hutchings says:

Just do it without the alcohol!! It tastes fantastic! but If you do want the flavour of rum without the rum… use a 1/2 tsp – 1 tsp of rum extract! Happy New Year!

    ThatLovableWeirdo says:

What do you recommend you can use instead of alcohol (for those of us who don't drink)? 🙂
