These "donuts" are a very common pastry in Germany, here they are called "Berliner" 🙂 They are sold in bakeries all year round, but are also considered a traditional dessert in places that celebrate carnival ("Karneval" or "Fasching") once a year. I haven't looked into the Jewish history of these but I'm sure there's a connection 🙂 I've never tried to bake these at home, but I'll have to give them a try! (especially since I don't know any places near me that sell vegan "Berliners").

    Jamie Moore says:

When you both tasted the liquor 😂😂
