    Ingredients

    For masala paste ( to fry and grind)

    3 tbsp dry coconut
    1 tsp oil
    1 " ginger roughly chopped
    5-6 garlic cloves roughly chopped
    1 medium onion roughly chopped
    2 medium tomatoes roughly chopped

    For misal

    2 cups sprouted moong beans or moth beans ( mataki)
    1/2 tsp turmeric powder to cook sprouts

    For curry

    3-4 tbsp oil
    1 big pinch hing
    1 tsp mustard seeds
    1/2 tsp cumin seeds
    1 medium onion finely chopped ( appx 1/2 cup)
    5-5 curry leaves
    1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    1/2 tsp cumin powder
    1/2 tsp garam masala
    1 tsp red chilly powder
    1 tsp coriander powder
    1 tbsp goda masala
    1 tsp jaggery ( adjust according to taste)
    salt to taste

    To assemble and garnish

    finely chopped onions as required
    finely chopped tomatoes as required
    finely chopped coriander leaves as required
    some lemon slices
    Farsan or mixture as required
    Pavs
    Butter to roast pavs
