    1 medium ridge gourd peeled and sliced
    1/2 cup rice ( dosa rice works better)
    2 tbsp chana dal
    1.5 tbsp urad dal
    1 tbsp tamarind
    1/4 cup fresh coconut scraped
    1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    Big pinch of hing
    3 – 4 dry red chilies ( adjust according to your taste)
    1.5 tsp jeera or cumin seeds
    1 tsp coriander seeds
    1 tsp jaggery
    Salt to taste
    Ghee or coconut oil as required to cook dosa
