    Gentle Vegan says:

Thank you for this recipe! Please can you tell me for how long I can store this pudding? And what’s the best method of storage? Thanks 🤗

    Will McLeod says:

Could you add walnuts to this?

    Mike Reid says:

I made this for Christmas and it was delightful. Thanks for the recipe!

For those who are curious, this pudding is easily made gluten-free. I substituted Bob's Red Mill 1:1 flour for the spelt flour they used, then made some breadcrumbs from a loaf of store-bought GF bread. I didn't make any other substitutions or additions. Worked like a charm. The pudding was moist and delicious, without any issues of it falling apart or sticking to the (greased) bowl I steamed it in.

    Kaia Vera says:

Yesss! Time to use my 5year mincemeat matured in whisky+rum and spices 😁
Is using red wine in this recipe something done traditionally/ original recipes or can it be swapped for something else?

Do your cookbooks include American conversions or is everything in grams? I might send one to my mil, but I don't think she'll have the patience to lookup conversions. Thanks! Love your stuff!

    David B. says:

Guys I love your videos but your videos mostly all end too suddenly. You gotta slice that pudding open and have at least one bite from it. Otherwise the video is not rewarding really for a viewer like me. But then again, your videos are awesome and I love having an all vegan non bullshit channel here on Youtube. Cheers lads!

    Jayne Sixx says:

    Margaret Copeland says:

I am on a steam bread, pudding roll. "Pudding" crossed the Atlantic to the US and we have our own versions, Boston Brown Bread, Indian pudding, you name it, all steamed, not baked. If you read about the English diet in Dicken's times, the poor survived on a slice of flour and suet ( or God know what ) steamed in large bags in a kettle. Small beer or gin rounded out your breakfast. Steamed breads can be made sweet, savoury, yeast-raised, baking powder-raised, in molds or tall cans. For the gluten free people, they work with lots of non gluten flours. Ginger bread made this way is awesome. The texture of steamed bread is totally different.

    yuvraj sidhu says:

I do not celebrate Christmas, but Merry Christmas to y'all that do! The Christmas time is still a lovely time for my family and I to come together and enjoy a meal. A classic dessert we always have our gulab jamun which is an Indian dessert of Indian donut balls covered in cardamom/rose syrup. However, growing up I learned about desserts that would be better fuel for my body so I opted to make whole wheat banana ginger and cardamom muffins
